Bill Dobbie

Bill Dobbie — Non Executive Chairman

Bill is an experienced entrepreneur and director specializing in internet, telecoms and technology businesses. He has led a number of successful private equity funded businesses and recently retired from a 7-year spell at Iomart PLC (IOM) spanning founder to non-exec positions. Bill has been a Director of Demon Internet, Prestel, Teledata, Scottish Telecom (Thus) and several other companies. His early career was with Unisys in the UK and Australia.  Bill has an Honours degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of St. Andrews and an MBA from the University of Glasgow.

Tim Brown

Tim Brown — Chief Executive Officer

Tim was appointed CEO of Maxymiser in May 2009 after serving as a non executive director since 2007. His last role in the online software industry was as CEO of behavioral targeting pioneer Touch Clarity culminating in its $60m acquisition by Omniture in 2007. Prior operational roles include technical design, sales and project management at INMOS Ltd, Surface Technology Systems plc, Leybold AG and the JET European Nuclear Fusion Program. He also served ten years as a Venture Capital investor with 3i and Alta Berkeley where his investments included STNC (Microsoft Inc), Cambridge Positioning Systems (CRS plc), Genera Technologies (Idexx Inc) and Improveline (Homeserve plc). Tim has a First Class degree in Physics, Manchester University and MBA, Cranfield School of Management.

Mark Simpson

Mark Simpson — Founder and President Maxymiser Inc.

A career long evangelist of online businesses, Mark is the commercial founder of Maxymiser and introduced its revolutionary Conversion Management platform to the market in 2006. Prior to Maxymiser, Mark headed up online marketing and business development for Travelport, focusing in particular on the acquisition and integration of ebookers, Octopus Travel, Hotel Club and RatesToGo. Latterly Mark headed-up the Business Development, Search and PPC teams for Travelport. Mark was previously part of the team that launched Hitwise in the UK market. Mark is a thought leader in the conversion marketplace, speaking globally at conferences and quoted regularly in the marketing press. He graduated with a BCom Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham.

Peter Ellen

Peter Ellen — Chief Operating Officer

Peter joined Maxymiser in 2007, initially setting up its consulting and services operation, then as COO. Peter has a Post Graduate Degree in Marketing from Napier University which he gained whilst building the UK retail chain Fopp (now owned by HMV plc). At Fopp, Peter rose from the shop floor to take up the MD position in 1999. By 2005 Peter had built sales from £4m to £35m.  He moved on to work as a consultant and journalist before joining IDE Group in early 2006.  Peter is a Fellow of the RSA and previous non-executive positions include Something Else (the largest independent radio producer in the UK and a top ten producer of TV entertainment).

Javier Brage

Javier Brage – Chief Financial Officer

Javier joined Maxymiser in March 2010 and is an experienced CFO with expertise in B2C and B2B companies undergoing dramatic growth, both organically and by acquisition. Prior to Maxymiser, Javier was CFO at Improveline; a VC-backed start-up where he oversaw the company grow from inception to £60m turnover within 5 years, prior to its acquisition by Homeserve plc where he served for two years. He has also served as CFO at Instant Offices (leading online global service office broker), as well as holding senior finance positions at CMP Media and John Lewis (Peter Jones Department store).  Javier graduated from Westminster University with Business Studies and is ACCA qualified (1996).

Derek Gray

Derek Gray — Non Executive Director

Derek is an active supporter and investor in early stage technology companies. Derek was formerly a Senior VP with Adobe Systems Inc, a NASDAQ company with sales in excess of $1bn, and was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing. He also played an integral part in overall business development, strategy and mergers and acquisitions activity. Derek serves on the board of OmniPerception, is Chairman of Cloudsoft Corporation and a member of Pentech’s Advisory Group.

Marc Moens

Marc Moens — Non Executive Director

After obtaining a PhD in Cognitive Science and Linguistics, Marc worked as a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh. His R&D interests were concerned with most areas of document management, including annotation standards like XML, text classification, information extraction, and text summarization. He left the University to co-found Rhetorical Systems, a text-to-speech company, and became its CEO. In December 2004 Rhetorical was sold to a US-based speech company. In 2008, Marc joined Pentech Ventures. Marc is also on the board of Hubdub ltd.

Max Polyakov

Max Polyakov — Founder and Non Executive Director

Max is a rising figure in the global internet software sector. He founded Maxymiser having previously built and sold the web analytics software company Hit Dynamics which was acquired by Hitwise and in turn became part of Experian. Max is actively involved in number of online B2C companies and is also on the advisory board of Seedcamp. He is a graduate in Medicine and studied at Business School in Ukraine before founding his first enterprises.
